Sugar Ball 2025: A Celebration of Beauty, Flavor and Philanthropy

There are evenings in Montreal that feel like stepping into a dream and the McCord Museum Sugar Ball has always been one of those rare moments where glamour meets generosity in the most irresistible and let’s say it: A VERY SWEET way!

This year the magic returns on Friday November 14th inside the magnificent St James Theatre, a jewel of Old Montreal where architectural grandeur and timeless charm wrap every guest in a sense of wonder the moment they step through the doors.

One of the most exciting parts of the Sugar Ball is knowing that every smile every toast and every dance step goes toward supporting the McCord Stewart Museum and its educational programs. Hundreds of young professionals gather each year for a night that blends philanthropy and joy and the event is made possible thanks to the Young McCord Philanthropist Committee, a devoted team of nearly twenty members whose passion and dedication shine through every detail.

Program

  • 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.: VIP Networking Cocktail – 6 gourmet partners will offer a unique culinary and human experience, to be shared with 300 guests in an exclusive setting.
  • 9:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.: Open bar, dance party with DJs, sweet table, midnight snack, and a ton of surprises…  

The evening will begin at six thirty with an exclusive VIP networking cocktail. For two and a half hours VIP attendees will be welcomed into a refined space where six gourmet partners ( Milos, Ferreira, Bevo , Les Enfants Terribles, to name a few…) will offer a delectable culinary journey.

When the clock strikes nine the doors will open for the full celebration. From that moment the night truly bursts to life with an open bar an electrifying dance floor led by talented DJs a sweet table that would tempt even the strongest willpower a delightful midnight snack and a steady flow of surprises that keep the energy soaring until three in the morning. ( Get ready to fill you evening purses with delectable candies and sweets !)

This cherished annual fundraiser also reflects the McCord Stewart Museum Foundation’s deep commitment to responsible and local procurement. Guided by the Museum’s Responsible Procurement Policy the Foundation works closely with artisans businesses and local partners to ensure that the event not only dazzles but also uplifts the community and reduces its environmental footprint.

It is a beautiful reminder that elegance and sustainability can shine together.
