As the North Creek Mosaic Project nears completion, its volunteers say they’ve attached memories and stories to the wall, along with more than 200,000 glass and ceramic tiles.
The 230 foot-long mural provides a source of pride for North Creek, a hamlet in the town of Johnsburg, New York. It depicts recreational opportunities, along with the scenery, flora and fauna that help make the Adirondack region a unique place.
Project coordinator Kate Hartley and volunteers involved in the creation of the mural spoke with Spotlight producer Paul Larson about the decade-long process.
Mural location
Visitors to North Creek in Warren County, New York will find the mural across from Café Sarah, located at 260 Main Street.
