Mode et Design:  Vincent D’Amerique fashion show at Quartiers Des Spectacles

For the past week the Festival Mode et Design has been proud to showcase the latest in Canadian Fashion on the runway. Tonight’s Fall 2018 and Winter 2019 showcase of Vincent D’Amérique, (the reference for Canadian men’s fashion worldwide) will surely raise the bar of Aesthetics and Tech by setting the stage on fire (literally)!

The brainchild of 35 year old designer Michel Grondines, the brand is 100% made in Quebec and prides itself in creating collections tailored for the modern Canadian man. Their stunning runway show tonight at 9 pm, entitled POETIC DEPTHS is set to display their ever growing presence with a dazzling display of interactive numerical art blending into the to the rhythmic beats of international DJ D-Noy. Infrared captors will capture the expressions of the DJ as well as of the models and will be projected on the large screen live.

The Runway show will commence at 9pm on Saturday the 25th of August at the Quartiers Des Spectacles.

The show and festive after party in collaboration with Ton Barbier to be held at FURCO is free and accessible to all,  but it is recommend to  arrive early to secure a good viewing spot.

Art Vernissage at Gallery 203

Gallery 203 in the heart of Old Montreal, will host this week the opening of ArtRocks Design‘s first photographic exhibition entitled: “LES VOYAGEURS INTEMPORELS / THE TIMELESS TRAVELERS “.

ArtRocks Design is a New Limited Edition Fine Art Photography Collective in Montreal presenting local & International talent. Artwork will be sold online as of September 26th, 2018.

For four weeks (August 30th to September 25th ) , photography lovers are invited to come and admire the works of several international artists including renown photographer Angelo Marino, who worked under the direction of master Helmut Newton as his former assistant photographer.

The exhibition will showcase the various photographers’ perspectives on exotic travels; the majestic Royal Regatta races in Cannes; urban atmospheres of New York; architectural structures of Montreal; and much more!

A photographic contest was launched last month to highlight the works of local photographers, The winner, Nicolas Abou’s piece “Montreal Sunset” will also be on display in large scale over the four weeks.

Every photographic artwork will be presented and available for purchase in various formats including varnished aluminum plating or under thick acrylic which gives remarkable depth to the image.
