Voter Registration Drive

The League of Women Voters for the North Country celebrated the anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution this week by encouraging students to register to vote. Volunteers held Voter Registration drives at both SUNY Plattsburgh and Clinton Community College.

New York State Assemblyman Billy Jones spoke to students at CCC about all the rights and protections guaranteed under the U.S. Constitution, including the right to vote. He also encouraged students to get registered so they can vote in the upcoming election. In New York, residents must register by October 26th to be eligible to vote in the November general election.
