Vet Center Looks to Break Ground on Expansion

The North Country Veterans Association is hoping to break ground as soon as next month on a major expansion at its vet center in Plattsburgh.

The group has outgrown its current headquarters. The 13-hundred foot expansion will move the food pantry to a larger space and expand the museum. It also adds much-needed space to offer programs, services, and counseling to veterans.

The $350,000 project has been in the works for several years and North Country Assemblyman Billy Jones has now secured $200,000 in state money to help get the project off the ground.
