Upper Canada Village’s Pumpkin Inferno is ready to ROCK YOU !

PumpkInferno is back!
Running select nights until October 31st , 2021

Do you love pumpkins? Big ones, small ones, carved ones … Come and admire thousands of hand-carved masterpieces, beautifully arranged along the paths of historical Upper Canada Village in Ontario,

Only an hour and a half drive away from Montreal and completely wheelchair* and pram accessible, Pumpkin Inferno is a must-visit family activity just in time for Halloween!

*Accessibility nights are every Tuesday and must be reserved in advance.

Featuring well-loved family friendly themes such as Creatures of the Deep ocean, the Jurrasic era and Aliens from Outer Space Area 51 as well as Halloween themed scenes: Monsters alley, Enchanted forest and Pumpkinlane among several others, you and your family will be completely blown away by the creative and artistic genius of this stunning night exhibit that is both equally haunting and spellbinding (in a good Halloween sort of way)!

The most amazing thing is, all these pieces of art are completely carved by a team of energetic students (hired locally) who worked all summer long to carve specially ordered, artificial, polycarbonate pumpkins that can be re-used year after year !

Behind the scenes tour of the work studio !

Some themes that have been revisited include the swinging 1920’s and the Day of the Dead ! ( see pictures below )

Real pumpkins have been lovingly decorated by hundreds of schoolchildren and are put on display in the creepy , circus ville tent of the Village :

This year’s new additions include a stunning musical masterpiece that features the heart pounding music of POP – Rock group QUEEN:

As well as a well imagined homage to Halloween themed Superheroes :

Plan at least 2 hours to take a leisurely stroll among the beautifully illuminated pumpkins. Bring glowsticks to easily locate your party members and arrive early to catch the displays during both sunset and nightfall!

For those who wish to have dinner on the premises. I suggest a stop at the full serviced restaurant the Willard’s Hotel, one of the oldest buildings on the site, constructed around the late 1790s.

There is also a pretty well stocked gift store where homemade fudge and other candies and drinks may be purchased. A sweet stop at the onsite Beavers Tail stall will definitely make your pumpkin Inferno experience complete!

Previous editions have earned Pumpkinferno the title as “BEST NEW EVENT IN ONTARIO”designation by Festival and Events Ontario, “TOURISM EVENT OF THE YEAR” by the Tourism Industry Association of Ontario and “NEW COMPANY OF THE YEAR” by Ottawa Tourism.

This amazing installation of artist inspired pumpkins is a must see display for all ages !
