Tribute to Gregg Smith

A concert this spring by The Northern Lights Choir in Saranac Lake, New York was a celebration of American music.

The 75-member choir performed all-American classics and dedicated the concert in memory of Gregg Smith.

Gregg Smith, who was a pioneer in the world of choral music and founder of the renowned Gregg Smith Singers, died last summer. Nearly a dozen of the choir members sang at Smith’s Adirondack Festival of American Music and 4th of July concerts held from 1973-2007. A few weeks ago Smith’s wife, singer Rosalind Rees, and a distinguished conductor who has written Gregg Smith’s biography, sat down with us to remember Smith’s life & career.
