Transitional Housing

North Country businessman Michael Carpenter, and his family who own the Northeast Group and publish Strictly Business magazine, are buying 3 residence halls owned by Clinton Community College on the former Plattsburgh Air Force Base with plans to turn these college dorms into temporary housing for those struggling with addiction, mental illness, and homelessness. The Carpenters will rent space to social service, mental health, and substance abuse counseling providers to allow them to temporarily house clients at the dorms and provide them with services. Michael Carpenter, who is the founder of MHAB Enterprises, joins us to talk about the project.
