The City and Town of Plattsburgh hold a public hearing on a proposal by the City to annex a 224-acre parcel of property located in the Town of Plattsburgh. The city wants to market that land to attract business, offering its low-cost power. The city says that will attract businesses, and jobs, and bring more development to the region. The town countered that the annexation isn’t necessary, and that the city should work to develop and utilize the property it already has.
