Musician Rob Schwimmer’s fingers know their way around a keyboard, but he also mastered an unusual instrument that is not touched at all while playing it, the theremin.
As a recent guest of Hill and Hollow Music, the musician impressed an audience in Saranac, New York with his talents on the theremin, the piano, and the Haken Continuum.
Hear Schwimmer’s fantastical playing, and enjoy his interview with Spotlight producer Paul Larson here.
Schwimmer’s musical talents have been employed by the likes of Bette Midler, Stevie Wonder, Willie Nelson, Queen Latifah, and Josh Groban. He’s played the theremin for music by C + C Music Factory, Bobby McFerrin, and Trey Anastasio of the group Phish.
