The Festival of Trees has become a North Country Holiday Tradition. Area businesses and organizations decorate holiday trees to put on display at Champlain Centre Mall, and then they are raffled off to raise money for the Advocacy and Resource Center in Plattsburgh.
The ARC assists more than 600 individuals with developmental disabilities living in Clinton County, helping them find housing and employment. This year, dozens of trees are being raffled off, and feature all kinds of themes, from the new Grinch movie to a tree dedicated to superheroes. The trees are on display near the new Gander Outdoors store inside the mall through Saturday, December 1st.
You can buy raffle tickets for a chance to win your favorite tree. This is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for the ARC and helps support programs like the Workforce Network which helps people with disabilities get jobs within the community.
