The Falling and The Rising: New Seagle Music Colony Opera

Seagle Music Colony is excited to be a co-commissioner of this important new opera that explores the experiences of wounded US Veterans — The Falling and The Rising.

Based on the real-life experiences of returning veterans, The Falling and The Rising follows the triumph and struggle of veterans returning home from deployment. The opera explores the journey of a veteran adjusting to life back home and what it truly means to come home in the eyes of a veteran.

Those who have had the opportunity to see the show already, specifically veterans, reveal that the opera truly embodies the sacrifices and reality one encounters when returning home.

The 2018 SMC fall season artists will take an intricate production of the show on the road to venues across upstate New York:

Friday, Sept. 28, 7:30 pm – Charles R. Wood Theater  – Glens Falls, NY

Saturday, Sept. 29, 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm – Hubbard Hall – Cambridge, NY

Sunday, Sept. 30, 3:00 pm – Tannery Pond Community Center – North Creek, NY

Saturday, October 6, 7:30 pm – Strand Center for the Arts – Plattsburgh, NY
