Prepare to be dazzled! The internationally acclaimed LEGO® art exhibition The Art of the Brick by award-winning artist Nathan Sawaya opens its doors today at the Complexe Maestria, located at 312 rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest in the heart of Quartier des Spectacles.
Ranked among CNN’s “Top 10 Must-See Exhibitions,” this immersive experience brings together more than 130 sculptures crafted from over one million LEGO® bricks.

Visitors, from curious kids to seasoned art lovers, can marvel at creative re-imaginings of iconic masterpieces including The Thinker, The Birth of Venus, The Starry Night, Mona Lisa, The Great Wave off Kanagawa, and Girl with a Pearl Earring.

Among the most striking highlights is a life-size 6-metre-long Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton assembled from over 80,000 LEGO® pieces, along with Sawaya’s celebrated original work “Yellow”, depicting a man ripping open his chest to reveal a cascade of bricks.
Experience & Extras
Visitors can expect approximately 60-90 minutes of playful discovery, walking through galleries that alternate between artistic re-interpretation and bold original creations.

The exhibition also invites audience participation. A hands-on build area encourages playful creativity, while a photo-booth experience lets guests transform themselves into a LEGO® character through the magic of AI.
Additionally, a retail boutique offers themed collectibles ranging from Harry Potter , Star Wars to Jurassic World and classic LEGO® bricks box sets.

Why You Should Go
Sawaya’s work transforms a simple, beloved everyday toy into original art pieces that bridge pop culture and high art through playful forms.
As he explains, he aims to “elevate this simple game to a status it’s never had before,” emphasizing how LEGO®’s stacked pieces can from a distance, become evocative, curved art forms with beautiful lines.

For many, it’s simply the chance to reawaken childhood wonder or discover the power of imagination anew through an unexpected medium.
