The 8th Annual Tour De Force Charity Run

The 8th Annual Tour de Force charity run to honor fallen law enforcement officers was held this past Sunday and this year’s run & bike race were dedicated to a Border Patrol Agent from here in the North Country, Hunter LaBombard, who died in an off-duty accident in January. The annual fundraiser is coordinated through Tour de Force, a nationwide charity established after 9-11. The North Country event held at Point Au Roche State Park is organized by Tom Brown, who has, to date, raised over more than 50-thousand dollars for the national Tour de Force. Hunter LaBombard’s parents, sister & grandparents all attended the race. More than 220 runners took part in the half marathon, 5K&10K runs, bike race, and a charity walk.
