A new film captures the passion that inspires climbers to scale the 46 Highest Peaks in the Adirondack Mountains. Director Blake Cortright will share his inspiration for making the film and talk about the challenges that hikers face trying to summit all 46 of the mountains, often in adverse weather conditions. What is it that motivates climbers to take on such a feat? For many it’s the desire to join an exclusive club known as the Adirondack 46ers.

Dan McCullum, one of the cinematographers who worked with Blake shooting the film, also spent many weeks hiking into the Adirondack Wilderness to film a behind the scenes look at how Carl Heilman captures many of his memorable photographs.
