RENOIR, Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile`s Restaurant, The perfect location to enjoy cocktails this summer !

Terrace Renoir, Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile’s restaurant:

Nestled in the heart of the golden square mile on Sherbrooke Street West, Terrace Renoir offers a perfect outdoor garden ambiance for enjoy champagne or cocktails with friends, relax after work, or just to savour light bites.

Expect a trendy, lounge-style ambiance featuring elegant minimalist décor with delightful drinks and tapas-style food that are healthy, light and flavorful.

Why the name Renoir? Montreal real-estate developer David Azrieli ( deceased 2014) adored the French Impressionist painter Renoir.  

Azrieli was the developer of the property on which the Sofitel stands and also a well-known philanthropist. In 2001 he donated one of Renoir’s paintings « Nature Morte au melon et aux pêches »to Montreal’s Museum of Fine Arts. (below)

A copy of this work is on display at the entrance to the interior restaurant, « as a nod to both his generosity and good taste, » says Olivier Perret, Executive Chef of the restaurant.

La Terasse at Le Renoir Restaurant is a true oasis in the heart of the city center. The terrace unveils a hidden garden adorned with lush flowers and plants, colorful umbrellas and cozy sofas, all under an imposing pergola.
