Tell Congress to prioritize funding for local public media stations

A federal court recently struck down part of an Executive Order to end federal funding for PBS and NPR. Unfortunately, that ruling did not restore funding for local stations like Mountain Lake PBS.

Lawmakers have begun the process of setting federal funding priorities for Fiscal Year 2027. That process is how public media funding could ultimately be restored, but only if Members of Congress hear from the people they represent.

For decades, that federal support helped Mountain Lake PBS deliver what our community depends on: local storytelling, educational programming for kids and families, and community connection.

This process plays out over many months, so consistent outreach matters. Contact your Members of Congress and tell them to prioritize restoring federal funding for local public media at ProtectMyPublicMedia.org.
