Teen Uses Make-A-Wish to Help Others

Make-A-Wish helps kids and teenagers dealing with chronic illnesses, often arranging to send them on a dream trip or meet a celebrity.

Turns out, the wish of 16-year old Alyssa Fenton, from Lewis, New York, was simply to pay-it-forward.
Alyssa volunteers at the Third Age Adult Day Center on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. So when Make-A-Wish wanted to do something special for Alyssa, who has a kidney disorder, she decided to donate the 8-thousand dollars to the center, so they could fix up a courtyard that’s used by the people they serve.
