Summer Intern Summarizes His Experience at MLPBS

The first time I was in contact with anyone from Mountain Lake PBS was at the SUNY Plattsburgh Career Fair. At the time, I did not know what I wanted to do after I graduated college. After having a conversation with their representative, I knew this was the internship I wanted to do this summer. After getting in contact and meeting with Jennifer Kowalczyk, the Director of Communications, I accepted the opportunity of interning with Mountain Lake PBS.

I will always remember the experience of interning here. I was excited coming into work with Mountain Lake PBS every day. Whether it is setting up the studio for different events and media shoots, promoting the Great American Read, making and editing posts on their website or shooting and editing films for social media, I enjoyed every second.

For anyone that does not know what they are going to do next summer, I would highly recommend doing an internship with any department at Mountain Lake PBS. They were a pleasure to work for and have definitely allowed me to experience some of things that will be asked to do in an office setting. Personally, his internship has made more confident that I will be ready for life after I graduate college.
