The Substance Abuse Prevention and Recovery Coalition (SPARCC) in Plattsburgh on March 31st promoting a forum to be held this coming Tuesday, April 4th, 7-9pm, at the Strand Theater in Plattsburgh. The forum will screen the film Chasing the Dragon, a documentary about an opiate addict’s life and battle with addiction. SPARCC will hold a public forum after the screening with several members of the committee speaking about the community’s efforts to raise awareness about, and combat opioid and heroin addiction. A recovering addict, as well as family members who have lost a loved one to addiction will speak about the impact addiction has had on their lives.
