Teens can share their unique voices and experiences with a community of writers and readers through the Adirondack Center for Writing’s Wild Words: Adirondack Teen Writing Anthology.
Submissions are open for Wild Words, the Adirondack Teen Writing Anthology. This annual publication is designed to be a place for teens living in the North Country to publish their original creative writing, including poetry, short stories, memoirs, and personal essays. Started in 2023, the anthology has featured dozens of teen writers from all corners of the Adirondack region.

Any teen, aged 13-19, living in the North Country of New York State is eligible to submit writing for consideration in the anthology, which will be published in the spring of 2026.
Submissions are due by midnight on March 13, 2026. Contributors will be notified if their writing has been accepted for publication by April 10, 2026. A public book launch for the anthology is scheduled for May 16, 2026 in Saranac Lake. Copies will be available for a small donation.

The Wild Words anthology originated with Visiting Writer Erin Dorney’s tenure (2022-2024) at the Adirondack Center for Writing as part of the Creatives Rebuild New York (CRNY) Artist Employment Program.
