About Sesame Street in Communities

Sesame Street in Communities (SSIC) is a Sesame Workshop initiative providing tools and resources to empower parents, caregivers, and service providers to support children in key areas that are critical for children’s wellbeing and success: early learning, health, and socio-emotional well-being. The target audiences for SSIC materials and training include early childhood educators, childcare providers, program directors and coordinators, health care professionals, local community leaders, faith leaders, childcare referral agencies, and more.

The SSIC resources can be found at SesameWorkshop.org/resources and features hundreds of bilingual multi-media tools and resources to help kids and families enrich and expand their knowledge during the years of birth through six, a critical window for brain development.

The resources—including printable activities, informational articles, videos, and workshop plans—engage both kids and adults in everyday moments and daily routines—from teaching early math and literacy concepts, to encouraging families to eat nutritious foods, to serious topics such as trauma and resilience. Sesame Workshop is committed to continually adding content to the site to meet the changing needs of communities.
