In partnership with New York’s public media stations, Mountain Lake PBS is addressing issues address social isolation among older adults with a new initiative, “Aging Together in New York.”
Mountain Lake PBS will record a community forum on Friday, May 12 at 1 PM exploring issues important to seniors with a panel of experts, including Greg Olsen, Director of the New York State Office for the Aging. The forum will be moderated by Thom Hallock.
We’ll explore a range of topics including isolation and loneliness exacerbated by the pandemic along with some creative solutions, the challenges and opportunities of aging in place and the needs of caregivers, and we’ll explore the New York State masterplan on aging and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s plan as well.
