State Lawmakers have wrapped up the Legislative session for the year in Albany and heading into the summer the question for many with prison communities in their districts is when the Governor will release the so-called hit list of prisons the state plans to close.
North Country State Senator Dan Stec joined us to talk about that, his amendment to allow the sale of the long-dormant Camp Gabriels Prison, and the state’s failure to find a new use for the recently closed Moriah Shock State Prison.
