SEA ME Restaurant – A Sophisticated New Gem in Downtown Montreal

New restaurants are always the talk of the town in Montreal, and the foodie circuit has been buzzing with excitement over the opening of SEA ME (1455 Peel Street), located adjacent to Les Cours Mont-Royal, bringing a fresh wave of Italian coastal cuisine to the city’s vibrant dining scene.

SEA ME brings a breath of fresh coastal air to Montreal’s fine dining scene with its Italian-inspired cuisine and beautiful interior decor – Interior designer Guillaume Ménard, in collaboration with Zébulon Perron from the firm MRDK, designed the space.

At a recent exclusive 5@7 event, guests had the pleasure of sampling amazing cocktails from head bartender @kevin.nitcheu or try one of their curated wines from general manager and sommelier @brandon_langlois.

They also got to try delectable hors d’oeuvres from SEA ME’s exceptional kitchen led by chef Walid Chouaref and chef Van.

The atmosphere was intimate, with media, content creators, and business leaders gathering for an unforgettable evening.

The restaurant itself offers a striking, modern interior that sets the stage for a top-tier dining experience.

SEA ME’s open kitchen is a visual delight, where you can watch the team work together with passion and precision—an inspiring sight for any food lover.

The Beluga lounge, tucked away in a corner on the lower level of the restaurant, adds an extra layer of sophistication, offering a cozy, private space – perfect for conversation.

What truly sets SEA ME apart is its finely curated menu of Italian coastal dishes.

A standout dish for me included the spaghetti main with clams, calamari and baby leek —rich, saucy, and deeply satisfying.
Lobster buratta with mangoes and edible flowers
The ravioli, was another highlight, with delicate pasta encasing succulent ricotta and Parmesan with squash cream.
The scallop appetizer, with its irresistible vanilla-coconut infused sauce, left an impression that required a plate-licking moment

Service was impeccable, thanks to the staff, whose attentive and friendly demeanor elevated the experience.

From start to finish, every detail was carefully considered, from the homemade focaccia that paired perfectly with the appetizers to the fish crudos (below) adorned with edible flowers that added a touch of elegance.

The chocolate dribbled dessert was a fitting conclusion to a stellar meal—decadent, yet balanced.

For those looking to enjoy an intimate night out in the heart of Montreal, SEA ME is a very enjoyable place to be.

Whether you’re savoring a well-crafted cocktail or indulging in their seasonal seafood dishes, this is a dining experience where you won’t mind splurging a bit.

In short, SEA ME is more than just a restaurant—it’s a culinary escape to the Italian coasts, right in the heart of downtown Montreal.
