Saranac Riverwalk Unveiled in Plattsburgh

The Saranac Riverwalk opened in a grand celebration last week, marking a significant milestone in Plattsburgh’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative. This $3 million project introduced the Betty Little Arts Park and a spacious 10-foot-wide bike and walking path along the serene Saranac River. The walkway seamlessly connects to the existing Saranac River Trail, enhancing accessibility for residents and visitors, and the city is already planning the next phase, further enriching the urban landscape. Phil Von Bargen, president of the Saranac River Trail Greenway, envisions an expansive 27-mile recreation trail, connecting communities along the Saranac River.
