Saranac Lake is also famous for winter carnival. The 120th Saranac Lake Winter Carnival kicks-off this weekend. It is the oldest festival of its kind in the nation. As Jack LaDuke shows us, year-after-year volunteers cut huge blocks of ice from Lake Flower to create a grand spectacle of ice that is the center piece of this famous carnival.
