For more than 25 years, Salle Pauline-Julien has stood as a vibrant cultural landmark in the northern part of Montreal’s West Island. Deeply rooted in Francophone culture yet proudly open to the world, the venue functions not only as a performance hall but also as a welcoming gathering place where local creativity shines and where audiences of all backgrounds come together to celebrate the performing arts.

This winter and spring, Salle Pauline Julien invites the public to experience a season filled with warmth, discovery and human connection. The program reflects the people who bring the venue to life every day.
Long time staff members, devoted volunteers and engaged board members all contribute to the collective spirit that makes Salle Pauline Julien a place where culture feels accessible and alive. Audience members are made to feel welcomed into a space defined by generosity and genuine hospitality.
“Our venue thrives thanks to the people who carry it, who walk through it and who choose it,” says Annie Dorion, Executive and Artistic Director. “Our mission goes far beyond presenting shows. We aim to bring people together, strengthen the bond between artists and audiences and make culture accessible to as many people as possible.”

This spirit of openness shines throughout a Winter Spring 2026 season that is both ambitious and inviting. One of the major highlights will be the premiere of an upcoming touring production by internationally acclaimed artist Dominique Fils Aimé, presented first on the Salle Pauline Julien stage next January 23rd and sure to be one of the season’s most memorable moments.

Dance also takes center stage with a series that welcomes audiences of all ages into powerful and evocative works. Creations by La Sporée BIGICO, Bouge de là, Ample Man Danse and José Navas offer deeply moving experiences. Some productions blend contemporary movement with traditional Quebec dance vocabulary, celebrating a living heritage that continues to evolve. These performances, like much of the music programming, transcend language and offer an open doorway into Quebec culture.

The season strikes a thoughtful balance between beloved voices and exciting discoveries. Theatre audiences can look forward to Paul à la maison, inspired by Michel Rabagliati’s cherished graphic novels, as well as the stage adaptation of Rue Duplessis, ma petite noirceur.
Music lovers will welcome major artists such as Steve Hill, Ariane Moffatt and Lou Adriane Cassidy, who recently received twelve Félix awards at the ADISQ Gala.
Those in search of fresh sensations will also discover daring new works that reflect a creative scene in full effervescence.

Intercultural dialogue is celebrated through the return of Nikamu Mamuitun 2, a moving project that brings Indigenous and non Indigenous artists together. Through music, languages and rhythms intertwine to create a powerful artistic encounter rooted in this territory and in shared expression.
The spirit of curiosity continues with the Discovery Series, where the luminous pop of Fuso and the unapologetic energy of PRINCESSES inject new life into Quebec’s musical landscape. From Leela’s reggae warmth to the vibrant spark of La Face A B, these artists represent a generation that is both free and deeply engaged.

As a non profit organization, Salle Pauline Julien relies on community solidarity and the creativity of its team to fulfill its essential cultural role in Montreal’s West Island. Thanks to the generosity of those who believe in its mission, audiences continue to enjoy a rich and inspiring artistic offering close to home.
Here, culture is shared and comes alive at the heart of a community that continues, season after season, to recognize itself on stage. Full details about the Winter Spring 2026 programming are available at pauline julien dot com.
