The 2026 Salon de l’Auto de Montréal is set to rev up the city this winter, returning to the Palais des congrès de Montréal from January 16 to 25, 2026, for its highly anticipated 81st edition.
Welcoming thousands of visitors with more than 30 automotive brands, this year’s show marks the much celebrated return of Audi and BMW, alongside a strong focus on innovation and electrification.
Car lovers and potential buyers will be able to compare gas, hybrid, and electric models, and even get behind the wheel thanks to the return of electric vehicle test drives, one of the event’s most popular features.
New immersive spaces elevate the showroom experience, including the St Hubert Family Zone where an indoor electric mini-car test track for children will take centre stage, featuring vehicles from Freddo Toys Canada.
The Overlanding Outdoor Zone for adventure seekers invites visitors to dive into the world of
overlanding, a form of automotive expedition travel that combines off-road driving with
adventure camping.
The adrenaline fueled Performance Zone ( Montréal Auto Show’s modified car zone), will feature striking designs and where one of a kind vehicles will take center stage.
This year, the Performance Zone makes its return in a brand new hall, delivering a richer and more immersive experience. Around thirty customized cars will be on display, each reflecting the craftsmanship, creativity, and passion of the enthusiasts behind them.
The show will also spotlight the AJAC “12 Best Vehicles in Canada for 2026”, offering a trusted snapshot of this year’s standout models.
Adding an emotional and cultural touch, a dedicated tribute will honour legendary Quebec driver Gilles Villeneuve, while racing icon Bertrand Godin returns as spokesperson for his consecutive 24th year, bringing his passion and expertise to the show floor.
