Governor Cuomo this week outlined more of the benchmarks regions of the state must meet to begin reopening their economies. Cuomo said if the 10 regions of New York State meet the 7 requirements, and don’t see a surge in cases, they will be allowed to start reopening, in 4 phases, after May 15th when Cuomo’s current Stay At Home order and statewide shutdown ends. So far, no region has met all of the benchmarks. The North Country has met 5 of the 7, but doesn’t have the required testing or contact tracing in place just yet. Each region is putting together an advisory panel to work to meet the criteria, and then get final approval from the Governor to begin reopening.
