History was made in Vermont this week where Christine Hallquist became the first transgender candidate to be nominated by a major party. She won the Democratic Primary and will now challenge incumbent Republican Governor Phil Scott in November. Hallquist, a former utility executive was our guest here on Mountain Lake Journal last fall, where she talked about being featured in a documentary produced by her son & Adirondack film and documentary producer Aaron Woolf.
