On June 25, 2021 Mountain Lake PBS planted a new pollinator garden at the station’s main facility in Plattsburgh, NY in partnership with AdkAction. Children and families came together to help plant the garden in raised beds provided and built by the AdkAction team.
We planted a variety of pollinator-friendly plants into these honeycomb shaped garden beds and welcomed them with a gentle burst of water to get the plants off to a great start!
A few weeks later, and our plants are thriving! (Though we are careful to tell would-be nibblers to stay away!)
In addition to the new garden helping butterflies, birds and bees, the staff at Mountain Lake PBS are looking forward to enjoying the garden all summer long. Stay tuned as we provide updates on how the garden is thriving!
