Plattsburgh’s Mayor was on hand in Albany for New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s State of the State Address two weeks ago. Wendell Hughes, Plattsburgh Town Supervisor Michael Cashman & Champlain Village Mayor Janet McFetridge were the guests of North County Assemblyman Billy Jones. And while, like many others, Hughes was waiting to get more details in the Governor’s Executive Budget, he says there were some encouraging proposals when it comes to helping communities pay to replace aging infrastructure, and deal with growing numbers of the homeless.
