Plattsburgh group to perform A Christmas Carol with a twist

This holiday season, a theater group in Plattsburgh is performing the Charles Dickens’ classic tale, A Christmas Carol, with a twist. Tim Palkovic and the Mosaic Ensemble, under the direction of Sue Carroll, are doing a unique version with a live chorus performing carols that are integrated into the reading of the story.

A Christmas Carol is being performed at the Memorial Chapel at 100 US Oval in Plattsburgh. Shows will be this Sunday, December 2nd at 3pm, and then again next Friday, December 7th, at 7pm. It cost 10-dollars. All of the proceeds will be used for renovations and repairs to the historic chapel on for the former Air Force Base.

This Concert Version of A Christmas Carol (published in 1843) uses the original text, but integrates traditional songs and carols into the reading itself, creating a fresh theater piece.

This 2018 adaptation of Dickens’ classic tale is performed by Tim Palkovic, who plays Charles Dickens, and the Mosaic Ensemble under the direction of Sue Carroll.

Tickets are $10 and available at the door, or in advance at Party Factory in Plattsburgh Plaza, Aubuchon Hardware in Skyway Plaza, Cook & Gardener at 139 Tom Miller Road in Plattsburgh & Corner-Stone Bookshop at 110 Margaret Street in Plattsburgh.

Members of the Mosaic Ensemble include: Betty Bogucki, Nancy Monette, Gloria Douglas, Kim Gingrich, Karen Larkin and Laura Palkovic.
