This week, we team up with PBS stations across New York State focusing on the growing Opioid Crisis. On a special edition of Mountain Lake Journal, we take you to a new detox & rehab center opening in the North Country, in Schuyler Falls, NY, to treat heroin and opioid addicts. We’ll talk about the critical need it will fill, and other steps community groups are taking to raise awareness about the opioid epidemic in the North Country. Connie Wille, the Executive Director of the Champlain Valley Family Center, which will run the facility, joins us to talk about the 18-bed detox and rehab unit opening in early November. There will be an open house at the new CVFC Recovery Campus on October 26th at 11am (516 Norrisville Road Schuyler Falls, NY) in advance of its opening.
