As opioid addiction reaches critical levels across the country, Mountain Lake PBS is committed to raising awareness of the impact here in our region.

In October 2018, Mountain Lake PBS joined the 9 PBS station that serve New York to air a special week of programming with support from the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS). The Association of Public Broadcasting Stations in New York are: WNED (Buffalo), WXXI (Rochester), WCNY (Syracuse), WSKG (Binghamton), WPBS-TV (Watertown), Mountain Lake PBS (Plattsburgh), WMHT (Troy), WNET (NYC), and WLIW (Long Island).
