The latest addition to Old Montreal’s thriving hospitality scene, the pet-friendly Hyatt Centric boutique hotel, has joined forces with the renowned Maker’s Mark to launch a unique bourbon that is sure to impress.

Each year, Maker’s Mark selects a single restaurant group from Eastern Canada to participate in its prestigious Barrel Select program, allowing the group to blend their own unique whiskey.

This year, the Burgundy Lion Group has been chosen to participate, thanks to their exceptional whiskey program and the expertise and passion of their resident whiskey connoisseur, Toby Lyle.

.

Adrianna,” the result of this collaboration (and also the name of Toby’s 7 year old daughter) , is a Burgundy Lion group Bourbon that embodies the perfect balance of sophistication and approachability.

Yesterday , members of the media were invited to join Toby Lyle and Canadian Maker’s Mark Ambassador Lindsay Wood at the Hyatt Centric Hotel for a VIP media whiskey-tasting event. During this special experience, guests had the opportunity to sample and explore Maker’s Mark’s portfolio, including the creation of the “Adrianna” blend.

It was a golden opportunity to learn from the experts and taste the finest in Canadian whiskey.

Each stave accentuates different naturally occurring notes in their Bourbon

.

P2 : Baked American Pure 2 : Notes of sweet honey and vanilla with a soft oak finish

CU: Seared French Cuvee : Warm caramel notes, molasses and a long finish

46: Maker’s Mark 46 : impart rich hints of dark fruits with a long finish of baking spices.

Roasted French Mendiant: hints of milk chocolate, dried fruit, nuts and coffee, long rich finish

Toasted French Spice : Brings out a crisp sweetness of ripe fruits and zesty baking spices.

In May, Toby traveled to Kentucky to work with Maker’s Mark and craft a bourbon tailored to the Quebec market and his personal taste. The blended whiskey was then aged for 9 weeks in Maker’s Mark’s purpose-built cellar and made available in limited quantities through the SAQ.

Whether you are a seasoned whiskey connoisseur or just discovering the joys of the spirit, “Adrianna” is a must-try for anyone visiting the vibrant city of Montreal.

You can taste this unique and limited blend by visiting the Cartier Arms restaurant as well as the Burgundy Lion and Work and Wolfman pub owned by Toby.
