NY State Police Captain Honored in Plattsburgh

New York Governor Kathy Hochul, hundreds of New York State Troopers, and other law enforcement officers, all gathered in Plattsburgh to attend the funeral service for New York State Police Captain Christopher Garrow at Saint Peter’s Church. After the church service the Governor and NY State Troopers lined Cornelia Street for a fly-over and gun salute. Captain Garrow, who was 47, died from an illness that stemmed from his assignment at Ground Zero following the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11th, 2001. Captain Garrow, who lived in Peru, New York, spent the past 23 years assigned to Troop B in Ray Brook. He was a firearms instructor and member of the State Police Underwater Rescue Team. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
