Incumbent Republican Elise Stefanik squares off with her two challengers, Democrat Tedra Cobb and Green Party candidate Lynn Kahn in their first face-to-face debate of the race for Northern New York’s 21st District Congressional seat.
The three candidates sparred over health care, military spending, the federal deficit, abortion rights, and climate change in their 60-minute debate.
Moderated by Mountain Lake PBS anchor Thom Hallock, the candidates were asked questions by a panel of journalists including Brian Mann from North Country Public Radio, Pat Bradley from WAMC Northeast Public Radio, and Peter Crowley, Editor of the Adirondack Daily Enterprise in Saranac Lake.
