NY-21 Special Election Candidate Anthony Constantino

The vote to confirm New York Congresswoman Elise Stefanik to be the new UN Ambassador is moving on to the full Senate now after she won approval from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that she testified before last week.
Stefanik is expected to win the support of the full Senate. Upon confirmation, Stefanik would then give up her seat in Congress, and New York Governor Kathy Hochul will call a special election to choose her successor.
Several Republicans have expressed an interest in running for the open NY 21 seat, including a political newcomer, a businessman from the Amsterdam area. Anthony Constantino was here in the North Country this past week to meet with one of the 15 County Party Chairs who will decide the Republican nominee. Constantino sat down with us to talk about why he’s running.
