Northern Adirondack Central Mask Protest

Some students and parents fed-up with what they say is an over-reach of state government speak out against New York’s mask mandate. They staged a protest at Northern Adirondack Central School last week, saying it should be parents & students who decide whether students wear a mask while in school. The students tried to enter the school building without masks but were turned away by NAC’s Principal. The parents said they were going to explore legal options. The State’s Mask Mandate requiring masks in businesses and buildings open to the public, put in place by New York Governor Kathy Hochul in December, was overturned by a State Supreme Court Justice, but that ruling has been put on hold while the case is reviewed by a New York State Appellate Court.
