As we head into the month of May, much of New York is preparing to reopen after a year of COVID.
Governor Cuomo says by May 19th, restaurants, gyms, hair salons, and most other businesses will be allowed to open at full capacity.
Although anyone who isn’t fully vaccinated or had a negative COVID-19 test will still have to maintain social distancing, which many businesses say will force them to keep their COVID restrictions in place.
Many attractions are opening, after being closed all of last summer, including the Six Flags Great Escape adventure park in Lake George, which opened this past weekend. Outdoor Experiences and the Wild Walk have opened at the Wild Center in Tupper Lake for the spring and early summer. For now, indoor exhibits are still closed.
