Plenty of people think about changing the world. Kiran Ahluwalia, the singer-songwriter who will highlight the next Hill and Hollow Music program, is taking steps toward actually doing so. In this interview, she speaks about her upbringing in both India and Canada, her unique pathway to a musical career, her circuitous route to meeting the virtuosic guitarist who became her bandmate and husband, and her desire to use her music as a pathway toward plurality, justice, and social change.
Kiran Ahluwalia performs for the Hill and Hollow Music series on April 12 at 3 p.m. in the Strand Center Theater. For advance-sale tickets and for more information, visit strandcenter.org/theatre-events.
