Tackling medical bills without adequate insurance is a problem many people face. An Adirondack group is celebrating 20 years of confronting this issue, celebrating because they use the uplifting spirit of song to help performers in crisis keep making music.
The Southern Adirondack Musicians Fund is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to musicians and their families who are facing serious health issues, injuries and death. A volunteer and locally oriented charity (serving Saratoga, Washington and Warren Counties of New York), the S.A.M. Fund’s mission is to keep the “wolf from the door” for those in need.
