       The Canadian Grand Prix is back for another sizzling edition with an expected turnout of over 150,000 visitors and locals alike that will  head into the streets to admire the cars, soak in the sun and participate in the happening F1 parties all around the city, running from the 6th to the 10th of June!

This week, Gen Delights introduces you to a variety of cultural, wellness and F1 related events and activities that you plunge you into the heart of the festivities!


Take it to the Streets: Free outdoor activities!

Join the energetic masses at the largest F1 party in the world, happening directly on Peel and Crescent Street right in the heart of downtown.

Enjoy free live performances, spinning DJs and a gorgeous display of elegant sports cars that will line the streets for you to pose and take pictures with.

This year the Chandon terrace at Dorchester Square will transform into an epic kart racing track right in the middle of the city!

The terrace will remain open until Sunday, however, on Thursday, June 7th you can catch F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and McLaren’s Stoffel Vandoorne who will have a public standoff, after which the public will be able to experience and try the race track for themselves while driving to the rhythmic beats of DJ Kevin Saunderson.

On Saturday, Piknic Electronik will be throwing a massive party as famed Montreal DJs (Debbie Døe, Forrest, and Kora) will light up Square Dorchester with booming dance music – blasting out towards the streets – which will also be closed off to motorists.

Little Italy celebrates F1!

Italians are known for their ‘joie de vivre’. For 6 consecutive years, the merchants and community will embracing F1 with a lineup of free outdoor activities for the whole family including a car show , street food, live entertainment and even pedal karting and mini-putt for the kiddies . The activities run from June 8th – 10th .

On Friday night, you will not want to miss the Italian fanfare, the Banda Gentile that will animate St-Laurent Boulevard (a stone throw away from Jean Talon market ) !

MURAL Festival – Saint-Laurent Boulevard

Since its creation in 2012, The MURAL Festival of Montreal has a mission to democratize urban art, making the city a must for art lovers around the world.

This year the Festival will be launched on June 7th at the same time as the Montreal Grand Prix.

FOOD:

On Friday, a series of GOURMET STATIONS will be set up around SQUARE DIX30 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., turning it into a fun and flavorful urban terrace, complete with complimentary treats from some of Quartier DIX30’s delectable gourmet destinations ( Siam , Oasis surf, Sushiman, Zyara etc…).
