Montreal Chamber Music Festival:  Celebrating three decades!

World class musicians will perform some of the most beautiful music in the world this June, in a city that has hosted one of the premiere chamber music festivals for thirty years.

The Montreal Chamber Music Festival was founded in 1995 by one of Canada’s greatest artists, cellist and conductor Denis Brott. He serves as the artistic director for a festival celebrating 30 years of excellence with two weeks of concerts and 13 events.

A unique element of the Festival each year is to encourage young, emerging musicians of the highest order by putting them onstage side-by-side with some of the finest, experienced artists in the world. This creates a stimulating symbiosis for the audience and performer alike.

More than 50 musicians will participate in the festival this year.  They come from Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom, Quebec and other parts of Canada. Among them, 20 will appear for the first time at the Montreal Chamber Music Festival.

Festival events begin June 7th and last until June 22nd. The venues include the Salle Bourgie at the Musee des Beaux Arts plus the Maison Symphonique and Cinquième Salle at Place des Arts.
