Canada has become the second and largest country to legalize marijuana. Recreational marijuana is still illegal in New York. But lawmakers in New York will likely consider legalizing it — as early as next year.

Medical Marijuana, on the other hand, became legal in New York 4 years ago. And the number of patients using it in the North Country has increased four-fold since a new operator, Curaleaf, took control of the state-regulated dispensary in Plattsburgh this past spring. We have a follow-up to our cover story from a couple of weeks ago, the opening of a new detox and rehab unit in Schuyler Falls, New York, to help heroin and opioid addicts, and others struggling with substance abuse.

Plus our Jack LaDuke shows us, and introduces us to a craftsmen who still makes lacrosse sticks out of wood, the old-fashioned way.
