Non-fictional filmmaking is all about presenting other people’s stories and I am always impressed and humbled by the courage displayed by the people I interview. Clifford Oliver was no exception. I want to thank him for putting his heart on his sleeve as he shared his experiences with me. I’d also like to thank the all the editors, producers, and filmmakers I have worked with over the years who helped me hone my storytelling craft.
Additionally, I’m thankful for all the support here at Mountain Lake PBS that allows our production team to tell creative stories that touch on issues relevant both locally and nationally. With the New England Emmys, our station is competing against major media markets including Boston and Connecticut. We are a bit of a small fish in a large pond, so it’s extremely rewarding to see the quality of our work acknowledged at this level.
