With classics like “Walking On The Moon“, “Englishman In New York”, and the romantic “Fields Of Gold” seamlessly woven into the fabric and narrative of the performance, each note becomes a thread in the intricate tapestry of storytelling.
At the heart of this extraordinary production is the unparalleled talent of 15 dancers, led by the visionary choreographer Kate Prince of ZooNation: The Kate Prince Company. Renowned in the UK for her groundbreaking work in street dance, Prince masterfully crafts a narrative that transcends boundaries and captures the essence of the human spirit.
Drawing inspiration from the drama of migrants, “Message In A Bottle” is a gripping tale of courage, resilience, and hope. Through 28 captivating tableaux, the performers take the audience on a perilous journey filled with twists and turns, yet ultimately brimming with optimism and joy.
Viewers will get pulled into the universe of a once happy family: A father, mother and their three adolescent children : Leto, Mati and Tana , who face great adversity and challenges when a civil war breaks out. Together they must face this brutal new reality and make difficult decisions to survive in this new dog eat dog world.
Each movement is a testament to the power of family ties and the triumph of the human soul even facing the harshest situations.
Presented by Danse Danse, in collaboration with Sadler’s Wells and Universal Music UK, this production is a testament to the transformative power of art.
