Champlain Valley Business and Professional Women, and Adirondack Young Professionals (ADKYP) hosted a Meet the Candidates Forum at MHAB in Plattsburgh on October 17th.
Candidates in the City and Town of Plattsburgh participated and took questions from audience members posed by Moderator Thom Hallock from Mountain Lake PBS.
Among the candidates who attended were Democratic & Working Families Candidate Amy Asadourian Senecal, and Republican and Conservative Party Candidate Hilary Rogers, who are running for Clinton County Family Court Judge.
The two Candidates on the ballot for County Clerk in Clinton County also attended the forum, Democratic & Working Families Candidate Brandi Lloyd. And Republican and Conservative Party Candidate John Zurlo.
The two Candidates running for the Clinton County Legislature and the 5th District covering the Town of Schuyler Falls, the Town of Peru. and the Town of Plattsburgh also attended the forum, Democratic & Five First Party Candidate Rick Hazen and Republican Candidate Kevin Randall.
Plattsburgh Town Supervisor Michael Cashman is running unopposed for re-election.
Three Candidates are running for two seats on the Plattsburgh Town Council. Democrat and Working Families Candidate Tom Wood and Democrat and Working Families Candidate Chuck Kostyk both attended the forum. The third Candidate, Republican Kevin Agnew, was unable to attend the forum.
In Plattsburgh City, in Ward 2, Democrat and Working Families Candidate Jake Avery is running unopposed for the City Council.
And in Ward 5, two Candidates, Democrat & Working Families Candidate David Monette and Republican Candidate Barrie Finnegan both attended the forum.
Early voting begins on October 28th, and Election Day this year is Tuesday, November 7th.
